Manager of IT Our client, Amenity Health Care, is seeking a Manager of Information Technology to oversee all the tasks involved with their computer systems and lead their IT team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager of Information Technology is responsible for the development and management of corporate programs for communications, data management, and business management systems required to achieve company business objectives. Responsibilities: . Work directly with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that IT initiatives successfully align with the achievement of business plans . Responsible for the hiring, development and management of IT personnel and activities in the organization including assigning work and reviewing performance . Ensures that IT requirements of the organization and users are met, including hardware, software, systems, networks, applications, and communications . Develop plans, policies and practices for the internal use of IT systems . Research and provide recommendations on the acquisition and implementation of new IT systems, applications, infrastructure, etc. to executive management . Ensure the smooth running and availability of all IT systems in support of daily operations including the provision of effective daily support and advice to all company system users . Establish a high level of communication, collaboration and support for all Functional and Store Managers within the company in the planning and execution of their IT requirements . Develop and manage IT budgets within approved plans obtaining competitive prices from suppliers where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness . Provide secure access to the network for remote users and ensure both the security and integrity of data . Apply continuous improvement practices in the review of all IT systems to ensure the company continues to advance in the application of effective technology by addressing gaps in performance . Manage and coordinate all IT related projects, including any outsourcing services required . Manage the scheduling of upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems . Maintain a current knowledge of technology developments that may be of value to the company Education & Experience . +10 years' experience in IT management . Post-secondary education in Information Technology . Experience in a large multi-site organization . Experience executing and supporting ERP, POS, GA, HRIS and Procurement systems Skills & Abilities . Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (written and verbal) . Excellent team leader, member and mentor . Highly customer focused with the ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities . High level of business acumen . Action oriented with good common sense approach to issues .
