As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will be responsible for working with and supporting the Operations Team to help the company achieve its budgets and financial goals. The CFO will have a demonstrated track record managing people and setting and executing the overall financial strategy and efficiencies for the organization. This position works closely with the Senior Management Team, assuming a strategic role in the overall management of the company. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of an established organization as we prepare for the future! Responsibilities . Plan, implement, manage and control all financial-related activities including the development of financial and operational strategies . Serve as a strategic business partner with the Senior Management Team to shape the business plan, the operational structure of the business, and the development of a financial management function . Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the Senior Management Team . Oversees the long and short-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the strategic plan . Prepare meetings to review key financial information and present recommendations for improvement to the Executive Team . Develop and manage annual/quarterly/monthly budgets, monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally as needed . Work with the Operations Team as needed to drive results by providing reports on budgetary performance, creating tools to help streamline and improve processes, providing feedback on tactics to contain labour costs, etc . Oversee and manage financial and operational reporting, accounting operations, payroll, and cash and inventory control functions . Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting and IT Teams . Responsible for preparing timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements . Oversee financing strategies and activities as well as banking relationships . Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities . Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns as needed Experience & Qualifications . 10+ years experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities . Bachelor's degree required, current CPA designation preferred . 5-7 years of financial and management experience with day-to-day financial operations as well as year-end reporting . Excellent presentation and strong influencing skills . Effective skills in strategic planning, departmental management and business analysis . Proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work and multi-task across many assignments . Ability to communicate ideas, project and process concepts, both orally and in writing, with ease and clarity . Strong sense of personal and business integrity and commitment to confidentiality and ethical business behavior . Ability to quickly establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships at all levels of the organization and with relevant external stakeholders .
