Medical Receptionist Amenity Health Care is currently looking for a qualified Medical Receptionist. Amenity Health's mission is to provide patients with integrated health and wellness services close to home and work. Amenity's services are based on bringing together multidisciplinary health professionals in support of servicing the patient's ongoing health needs in a timely manner. Amenity's health centers are focused on providing patients a continuum of care under one roof, rather than at multiple locations. By having these services under one roof, Amenity believes that it improves the promptness of diagnosis and therefore of the treatment plan for the patient. Opportunity Located on the south side of Winnipeg, our client is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their team. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the day to day functions of the medical office as well as key responsibilities as described below: . Welcomes patients, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. . Optimizes patients' satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. . Arranges any necessary follow up appointments for patients with hospitals or with other healthcare professionals . Calls for lab results/ x-rays etc. . Responsible for keeping, maintaining and updating records by getting the appropriate information from both patients and doctors . Maintains business office inventory and equipment; anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, scheduling equipment service and repairs . Third party billings . Maintains the reception area . Respects and maintains the privacy and dignity of clients and assures client confidentiality at all times Skills and Abilities . Basic knowledge of medical terminology . Knowledge of Accuro considered an asset . Well organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task . Exemplary telephone communication skills . Ability to work independently and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Efficient and accurate data entry skills . Knowledge and experience with medical records management Education .
