Maintenance Worker Our client, the Bethania Group, is currently seeking a Maintenance Worker for their long-term care and housing facility. This position will be responsible for the timely completion and coordination of all maintenance duties in a cost-efficient manner as assigned by the Building Manager. Your Responsibilities Include: . Perform and complete all maintenance service requests via the HIPPO system. . Implement preventive maintenance and demand maintenance, both outlined and assigned. . Complete grounds work including but not limited to snow clearing, sanding, painting and patching as required. . Perform both shipping and receiving duties. . Remove garbage in the Personal Care Home and receiving area and place in waste bins outside in the morning and afternoon. . Report any malfunctions or mechanical abnormalities to the Building Manager immediately. . Daily monitoring of all the mechanical areas of the building (Boilers, HVAC, AMU). . Monitoring of the fire alarm system and reporting any abnormalities/concerns to the Building Manager immediately. . Control and log the air and water temperature in the PCH as required. . Additional duties as assigned by the Building Manager. Physical Demands Include: . Able to lift and pull up to 50 pounds . Able to push up to 100 pounds . Able to climb and work with ladders (max. 10 feet) . Able to crawl, bend, twist, squat, stoop and lift above shoulders . Able perform repetitive tasks and sit . Able to walk and be standing for prolonged periods of time . Excellent manual dexterity . Good vision and attention to detail Required Qualifications Required Qualifications . Minimum 1 - 3 years' of previous experience in a maintenance role . Grade 12 education or equivalent . Basic knowledge on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical . Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships . Ability to follow instructions and work independently within established guidelines . Strong willingness to learn . Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail . Established ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer to perform necessary tasks . Class 5 full driver's license and access to a registered reliable vehicle . Previous experience in a healthcare environment will be considered an asset . Knowledge on the HIPPO Maintenance System will be considered an asset . 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate will be considered an asset .
