ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant, the Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for working collaboratively with their own internal portfolio to provide consultative recruitment solutions. The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be a creative, "outside the box" thinker with a strategic approach, and will easily adapt with change. This person will be driven by a team-environment, will have a client-focus mindset during their recruitment efforts, and will have a proven track record developing and cultivating relationships not only with hiring leaders, but with external partners as well. NATURE AND SCOPE The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be a main point of contact with hiring leaders within their assigned portfolio for recruitment requests. They will maintain positive relationships with their client group and continually add to enhancing knowledge and ability regarding recruitment practices corporately by remaining current in the field of talent acquisition and identifying emerging trends and practices. The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be responsible for designing, leading, and managing full-cycle recruitment efforts including sourcing, attracting, and assessing quality candidates for open requisitions up to the offer stage within their assigned portfolio. They will ensure a positive experience is maintained throughout the recruitment process and that all related articles within the collective agreement are considered and consistently applied throughout the recruitment and selection function. This person will have the capacity to build an effective and strategic network consistently generating a healthy pipeline of high-quality candidates as well as partnering with targeted post-secondary institutions and community programs. They will represent Manitoba Public Insurance at related events such as career fairs, networking, speed interviewing etc. Other key functions will include collaborating with HR staff supporting a team environment while creating and encouraging an environment of ownership and accountability. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Education: . Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, or a related area of study. . Completion of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) designation is an asset. Experience: . Three years related experience in talent acquisition and recruitment and selection. . Experience in a unionized environment is an asset. Technical Knowledge and Skills: . Ability to build positive working relationships and provide customer service with a strategic focus. . Skilled in sourcing and selecting top talent including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels. . Strong knowledge of best practice employment practices and human resources legislation. . Proficiency with related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, HRMS), and web recruitment tools including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) . Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent tasks and deadlines. . Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. . Proven analytical ability and problem-solving skills. . Excellent interpersonal strengths . Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member. . Ability to maintain absolute discretion and maturity in handling sensitive/confidential data. OTHER . Applicants are required to provide a criminal record check as part of the recruitment process. . Occasional requirement to travel to alternate MPI locations throughout the province. . Occasional requirement to work varied hours to meet the needs of recruitment events. . Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
