Our client, The Bethania Group, is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and caring Resident Care Manager to join the team at Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home. Reporting to the Director of Care, the Resident Care Manager will provide leadership for the Healthcare Team (Nurse/RNs, LPNs, Health Care Aides, and Rehab Aide), as well as participate in committees and encourage staff participation in meetings, committees, councils, and teams. The ideal candidate will be able to create an environment that encourages and supports creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and a safe and healthy workplace environment. The Resident Care Manager will have experience working in a personal care home with a true understanding of providing care to those who need it coupled with strong leadership and risk management skills. You will also take the lead in rolling out new initiatives or policies as needed. The major responsibilities of the Resident Care Manager are divided into the following key areas: Resident Care/Clinical Practice; Financial Management; Human Resources Management; Leadership; Communication; Accountability; Risk and Quality Improvement; and Education and Research. The Resident Care Manager will play a key role in the operations of Pembina Place Personal Care Home, along with the Director of Care. Certificate in Gerontology preferred . Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Long Term Care . Demonstrated expertise leading and managing within a healthcare setting . Leadership strengths fostering an open and respectful climate where care is delivered in a manner sensitive to diversity . Highly skilled collaborating with others in the acquisition, allocation, and utilization of fiscal and human resources . Knowledge of Risk Management strategies . Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills; able to deal with complex individual and organizational relationships . Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands . Ability to plan, manage, and implement change . Ability to function in a computerized work environment and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office .
